We can connect your new doors to your existing door entry / access control system or if you prefer we can upgrade your old equipment and fully automate the door to open and close at the touch of a button.
Communal entrances are the priamry focus on any residential communal dwelling and form the first and lasting impression that your visitors or prospecive tenants will get as soon as they arrive.
We understand the need for a door which looks good and also functions well.
At ADI we have vast ranging experience in designing and fitting communal entrance doors and we know that they need to be more robust than personal house or flat doors.
The higher volumes of foot traffic that having multiple occupants creates often results in a higher degree of wear and tear and puts a strain on many of the component parts of the door. On a poorly designed door this can lead to premature failure, resulting in an insecure entrance !
All too often entrance doors to flats and apartment blocks can suffer damage from heavy handed visitors, such as delivery drivers or worse, vandalism.
All of our communal aluminium entrance doors are bespoke CAD designed and manufactured to your requirements with the highest quality components
Why not just fit UPVC doors ?
Many building managers will sugest fitting UPVC or composite doors to main entrances, because of a lower initial cost, however both composite and upvc doors are designed to have have multi-point locking systems, which are not really suitable for communal entrances as they demand a different type of locking which can be electrically opened from an intercom or fob access system.
We have seen many examples of communal entrances where an electric release has been badly fitted into a plastic door frame and is barely latching with almost no security at all or fitted with motorised multi-point locking, which has suffered abuse and has jammed in the locked position, leaving the residents locked inside.
Aluminium communal entrances are manufactured with features that make them ideally suited for communal access doors:
-
Heavy duty commercial grade aluminium profiles
-
Electric strikes or magnetic locking designed specifically for aluminium entrances with door entry intercom systems
-
Durable polyester powder coated finish in any standard RAL colour.
-
Concealed door closers, which cannot be vandalised.
-
Choice of glass types including anti-bandit
-
No flexing or bending,
-
kick proof bottom panels
-
